along with

GATT General Education Directorate
and
Taraclia Raion Directorate for Education, Youth and Sport

The project aims to encourage and support the use of Romanian as a language of education and a common language of communication in ATU Gagauzia and Taraclia rayon, Rep. Moldova, by setting up pilot classes with teaching in Romanian and providing a vocational training program to specialized teachers in the pre-school and primary education establishments within these administrative-territorial entities. Our project aims, implicitly, to contribute to the preservation, development and expression of the linguistic and cultural identity of Romanians living in the UTAG and Taraclia district, as well as those belonging to the Romanian linguistic and cultural sphere, according to the European and international standards and policies in the field.

Through this educational project we aim to implement new didactic strategies to optimize the process of learning Romanian as a non-mother tongue in kindergartens and schools in ATU Gagauzia and Taraclia district, the expected result being, first of all, improving the quality and increasing the performance of the educational act in schools with teaching Romanian (and in Romanian) in these administrative units. In the long run, it is expected that students will increase their interest in the use of the Romanian language in the current communication through performance awareness through an awareness of its important role as a “state” official language in the local and national administration through “the discovery of” the practical reasons for the use of Romania in the public space, as well as the recognition of the advantages of the knowledge of the Romanian language as “European”
